The client wanted to increase sales without investing additional money into R&D or expanding their team. The goal was to achieve growth purely by optimizing the existing product line and resources.
After analyzing the product range, we realized every product had only one SKU option. At the same time, there was a loyal customer base repeatedly buying the same product. Many customers were purchasing 4–5 units together so they wouldn’t run out of stock.
We suggested introducing a bigger SKU for the product that already had strong repeat demand. The existing SKU continued attracting new customers, while the bigger SKU catered to loyal buyers already purchasing in bulk.
Since distributors already trusted the product and knew it sold consistently, they immediately started stocking the bigger SKU as well.
The strategy worked exceptionally well. The smaller SKU kept bringing in new customers, while the bigger SKU increased repeat purchase value from existing customers.
This helped the brand increase sales by 3X without additional hiring or investment into R&D.
